IPL for Dry Eye Disease
IPL or Intense Pulse Light is the other treatment for Dry Eye disease (DED) which has the specific wavelength and not identified as LASER
The main principle of this treatment is filtering out the undesirable wavelength and remain only required wavelength. The power is released like the camera flash.
The light wave for this treament is 400 to 1200 nm. This wavelength will effect the vicious cycle for dry eye inflammation. Moreover, the heat which occurs during a procedure will have an affect on Meibum, the lipid which is produced from Meibomian Glad. Decreasing of clogged will occur.
