On June 23, 2025 - the Product Specialists from the Medical Instruments Division conducted a training session for the sales team focused on the product knowledge and usage of the Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Machine from Visionix, a French brand. This advanced medical technology is designed to analyze cross-sectional images of the optic nerve, retinal layers, and the retinal fossa, producing both 2D and 3D images using laser light. The OCT machine can capture the depth of the various layers of the retina with a resolution of 10-15 microns.
 
The knowledge gained from this training will be instrumental in enhancing services to our customers in the future. The OCT eye examination machine is capable of diagnosing several eye diseases, including:
• Diabetic Retinopathy
• Retinal Degeneration with a high risk in people over 50 years old
• Macular Edema from various conditions such as diabetes, retinal vein occlusion
• Macular Rupture
• Retinal Fibrosis and Macular Degeneration
• Retinal Detachment
• Retinal Vascular Abnormalities
• Glaucoma, with a risk in people over 40 years old
• Cataracts
