Our Surveying Instruments Division delivered and provided a Nikon N 2” Total Station Training to Ubon Rung Ruang Kollakarn Co., Ltd. officers at the Amnart Charoen on 5th October 2022. We tested the accuracy of the total station by comparing the points measured by tape and measured by the total station. The results showed that some points of measurement done by a tape were nearly the same as those measured by the total station. But some of them had an error of about 5mm. to 1cm. Many factors are causing an error to tape measurement, such as pulling tension, stretching of tape material, error indicated on tape specification, or even human error from the reading scale, etc. One of the interesting features of Nikon N 2” is that surveyors can upload and download directly via an application on any android smart device with convenience.
