Delivered the Trimble R4s GNSS and provided a 2-day training course to the Siam City Cement Public Company Limited.
On November 22–23, 2023, our Surveying Instruments Division delivered the Trimble R4s GNSS and provided a 2-day training course to the Siam City Cement Public Company Limited. The aim of using GNSS is to create a precise ground control point, collect topographic surveys, and stockpile a ground control point for aerial imaging.
On the first day, our product specialist started the training course with a theoretical session on the basis and fundamentals of GNSS surveying and parts of the Trimble R4s. In the afternoon, our trainers let the officers do control points by using static mode in the field. The collected data was a good example for baseline processing and network adjustment in the next training session.
On the second day, we started with a field session in RTK mode in the morning with the Trimble R4s model, a new receiver with portability and high durability that enabled them to collect data in the dusty and high-temperature mines. In the set, we offered the smart, compact, and ergonomic design of the Android controller Trimble TDC600. With a mobile phone-like design, it is easy to carry along. A bright and clear capacitive touch screen makes data collection more convenient and faster.
In the afternoon, we collected the data from both days and transferred it to Trimble Business Center in order to check, process, and georeference the drone aerial photo to correctly extract and calculate the volume of stockpiles.
