Enhancing the Animal Research Quality by Improving Animal Welfare-Pathway to Reach International Standards.
The Scientific Instruments Division participated in the TALAS 2024 Academic Conference on the topic “Enhancing the Animal Research Quality by Improving Animal Welfare-Pathway to Reach International Standards” organized by the Thai Laboratory Animal Science Association in collaboration with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Mahidol University, the National Vaccine Institute (Public Organization), the National Laboratory Animal Center, the Faculty of Veterinary Technology, Kasetsart University, AAALAC International, and Charles River Laboratory, from September 11-13, 2024at the Berkeley Hotel, Bangkok.
The objectives are:
• Developing a process for implementing projects that use animals based on welfare in line with the quality of research.
• Providing knowledge and understanding about the use of experimental animals and basic techniques and methods for treating experimental animals, which can be applied in scientific work correctly and efficiently.
• Providing knowledge about the development of prototype animals leading to the use of animals under ethical principles and management of environmental control systems, including exchanging ideas among participants.
The objectives are:
