Providing the use of GNSS to EGAT officers at the Lam Takhong Research Station in Sikhio District, Nakhon Ratchasima
On December 16th -18th, 2024, our Survey Instruments Division was honored to be invited by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) to provide the use of GNSS Positioning Equipment related to their missions at the Lam Takhong Research Station in Sikhio District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.
Our instructors divided the participants into two (2) groups: one for advanced field users and another one for project supervisors. Each group learned how to use the equipment in a way that best suited their respective tasks, and the new system that could help reduce work time is called Trimble Connect. The Trimble Connect facilitates faster and more convenient file transfer via Trimble Cloud Service. It also simplifies RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) operations over the internet through the Trimble IBSS. Additionally, users could receive direct corrections via the highly accurate positioning Trimble RTX Service.
At the end of the seminar, there was also a safety training session on surveying assets beneath power transmission lines instructed by the expert from EGAT. Additionally, there was also a team building where all the participants had the opportunity to take memorable group photos together.
