From May 19–21, 2026, our Surveying Instruments Division had the honor of conducting a training session on the operation of the Trimble GNSS R980 Receiver for officers of the Royal Forest Department. Held at the Prime Time Hotel in Chonburi. The objective of this program was to enhance the officers' knowledge and skills in surveying utilizing GNSS Technology.
The comprehensive training featured both theoretical and practical sessions. The curriculum covered the operation of the GNSS Receiver, surveying techniques using Static, RTK, and Network RTK Methods, coordinate data collection, and the application of the Stake Out Function. Additionally, participants were trained in data processing using Trimble Business Center (TBC) Software, as well as creating surfaces and contours from the survey data.
Throughout the program, the Royal Forest Department officers demonstrated keen interest and active participation. They are now completely well-equipped to apply the acquired knowledge and skills to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of their surveying operations.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Royal Forest Department for their continuing trust. We look forward to future opportunities to provide sharper support for the capacity building of surveying personnel through state-of-the-art technology.
