Surveying Instruments Division sent our professional product specialist for the Trimble R8s on-site training at the Khammouan Cement (KCL) Mine located in Laos, a subsidiary of Siam Cement Group. Their main tasks are topographic surveying, creating control points around the mine as a network by using the static mode, staking out blast holes, and collecting ground control points (GCP) used for georeferencing the aerial imaging from a drone that has been updated frequently.
